The board at Black Hills Playhouse Alumni Association in Custer, SD was tired of their old, dated site and needed something refreshing, new, and easy to navigate. They had an extensive history to archive - over 75 years! - and they were frustrated with the limitations their current site offered.

So, I created some template pages for them to duplicate and update - for memorials, for past projects, for upcoming reunions, and an archive of past plays. I used built-in features within Squarespace to create the different ways to highlight past events and reunions, and created galleries that the alumni of the Playhouse can reminisce and comment on!

One request that the President had was that he wanted something that would pop and be appealing to everyone - their current site looked dated and tired. I chose a bright color pallet of blues and greens and yellows to tie into their sister site (Black Hills Playhouse), but yet stand it out as separate. The greens help tie it into the physical location of the Playhouse in the foothills of the Black Hills in Custer, South Dakota, USA.
