FAQs
Will this take a lot of my time?
Only a few hours to prepare your content and then a few hours on your end within the design process (here and there) for editing and strategy calls. Please reserve at least 90 minutes once the site is ready to go live for a training session and final “walk-through” of your new website!
When will my site be live?
It depends on the complexity of your site and how prepared prior to our initial meeting you are! I suggest meeting with me at least two weeks prior to your “going live” date to give us ample time to go over the design elements and to gather up the missing pieces before presenting your site to the public.
Will I have to make changes to my website after it’s live?
I will teach you how to make changes on the back end of your site so that you can update your text, prices, promotions, or photos. Feel free to reach out to me for further design updates, such as new pages or a new look/feature. This will be assessed at my hourly rate.
Are there payment plans?
A 50% deposit is required to book your live date. The remaining balance can be paid in installments as desired, with the final payment due prior to the site going live. All prices are USD.
How do I know you’ll create something I’ll like?
I bring your vision to life with my own unique style. Take a look at my website portfolio to see if my style fits with yours and then let’s get together! We’ll create a mood board, look at other sites you love, plus you will have an opportunity to go through the site after I’ve presented the first draft and make as many revisions as you’d like before we hit “live”!
Is a Squarespace website right for me?
If you love clean, modern design without the tech headaches of ongoing maintenance, backups, managing plugins, formatting everything or worrying about hosting, Squarespace is a great fit!
Do we have to use Squarespace?
I prefer working with Squarespace for my web design. I’m happy to give advice on appearances and better streamlining options for other sites not built on SS, but for websites that I design and build, I only use SS’s platform.
Are there ongoing costs?
Squarespace has a monthly fee that includes website hosting and system maintenance (you can pay annually, if preferred). For most of my clients, the $12 or $18 a month plan will be a good fit. You also need to purchase your own domain, which is about $20 annually.
Why should I book a design call?
We’ll chat on a video call during this 1-hour session and answer all your website or design questions, saving you the frustration of Googling everything and giving your design the expert designer once over.

How soon can I get a custom logo done?
It depends on the complexitivity of the project. As a logo will be a reflection of you and your work/project, I strive to understand your vision and ideas before beginning work. You will be given several different drafts to fine tune and focus your design until we set on what is perfect for you.
Why is it important to have a branding guide written down?
So you can be consistent through all of your communication (online and in print) and so your clients/patrons can establish loyalty to your product. A branding guide (even a simple one) can help set the tone of your organization.
How many edits/revisions will I get on my logo?
Up to five revisions are included in the initial quote for your graphic design project or logo. Any more than that will be billed separately at my hourly rate.

What will I get when my project is complete?
For business branding, you will get a simple printout outlining your logo(s), typography, and color themes. You will also get all digital media including graphics in a variety of formats and sizes to be able to share both online and in print.
What do I need to provide to get a video?
I can help you storyboard your idea, whether it’s an animated video of your logo (logo reveal), or tell your project’s story in a documentary style! Check out some of my work. I will provide the technology needed for your project (cameras, computers, audio, etc) - you provide the content!
What if I want to add media that is not my own?
You will need to get the proper permissions from the intellectual copyright holders of the media you want to use prior to your project going live.
Can I use my completed video anywhere I want to?
Yes. Once I release the project to you after payment is received in full, then the video(s) become yours and you can use them as you see fit with no further credit to me. (Although a shout-out is always appreciated!)
