This musical retelling of the classic children’s story utilized a lot of zoning, as well as specific spotlights as seen here. “Hallways” were created using light as Mary and Archibald wandered the Manor, just missing each other as they passed in the darkness.

Colors were used extensively in THE SECRET GARDEN - scenes in India were warm with red and orange, and the garden scenes were bathed in greens and yellows. Pictured here, Mary waits at the train station in the chilly winter air while her deceased parents watch from a memory.
